Hi, I’m Yaoqi Yang (杨耀齐). I am a second-year PhD student in algebraic geometry at Warwick, working under the supervision of Dr Ruadhai Dervan. My research interests lie in K-stability and its connections to moduli theory and geometric invariant theory.
Before starting my PhD, I studied mathematics at University College London (BSc) and the University of Oxford (MSc).
From the 2026–27 academic year, I will be co-organising the Postgraduate Seminar with Owen and the Junior Algebraic Geometry Seminar (JAWS) with Shing, Chunkai, Mayo and Tommaso at the University of Warwick. We have funding available to cover travel and accommodation for JAWS speakers, so please feel free to get in touch if you would be interested in giving a talk.
